Michael Janairo, the Times Union Features copy desk chief, will now be editing Friday's Life Screens section as Entertainment Editor Casey Seiler expands his role as columnist. Seiler, who used to edit the Life Screens section, will be writing a weekly general news column that will run on Fridays in addition to his weekly humor column in the Sunday Perspective section.
Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Janairo, 38, grew up in Mount Lebanon, Pa., and earned an undergraduate degree in journalism and a master's of fine arts in creative writing. He worked at The Record in Troy and The Gazette in Schenectady before joining the Times Union's news copy desk in 1999.
