Vic: Police officer struck by passing truck

MELBOURNE, Feb 17 AAP - A police officer suffered minor injuries when he was swiped
by a passing truck in the city today.

The constable was hit as he stepped out of a divisional van near Spencer St railway station.

The officer had been called to an incident at the station, spokesman Senior Constable
Rob Pugh said.

The truck struck the open police car door and clipped the officer, throwing him across
the van's bonnet, Sen Con Pugh said.

The woman driver stopped.
