Forecasters have been known to make a mistakes, but regardless of the outcome streams such as the Kayderossas, Battenkill and the West Branch of the Ausable River will be lined with fishermen, many of whom will be getting out for the first time.
Most will be using garden hackle, some will be using minnows, others wouldn't think of using anything but flies. But by the time 12 o'clock rolls around, almost all will be shedding their waders and staggering into restaurants or pubs on numbed feet looking for something to revive them.
